We disrupt our regularly scheduled programming to bring you this breaking news!


Okay, maybe it’s not that monumental, but I’m going to put aside my planned blog post for today to share with you a very cool – and stunning – event.


As you can see from the accompanying image, I’m blessed to be on the cover of Family Fiction Magazine’s November issue. Boy, did that come out of the blue. I’m still finding it hard to believe.



Family Fiction recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary. It is the leading online media outlet for Christian publishing and an influential force in the business. The organization publishes a weekly newsletter and the monthly digital magazine that has me on its cover this month. Family Fiction has become an information hub for all fans of Christian fiction – covering news, upcoming releases, book trailers, and exclusive interviews with authors. It also has over 26,000 Likes on Facebook.

This has been a very interesting time for me … in addition to all things COVID. I’ve had three books – the entire Empires of Armageddon series – released in one year (Ottoman Dominion will be released to the public in two weeks, on November 17). Which makes for a pretty hectic schedule.


For an author, marketing often takes up as much time as writing, especially when you have three books launched within 12 months. Family Fiction is similar to many other online sites, such as bloggers or specific media outlets like Suspense Zone. They will send a list of questions to an author, often some very challenging ones, and then post the answers to those questions as an online “interview”. So, fulfilling those interview requests, maintaining a website, getting this blog up and running, and then consistently posting three days a week, takes a chunk of time.


Add to that the special, unique material I now provide to subscribers to this website and those who request the offers at the end of each book in the Empires of Armageddon series. Material, available nowhere else, like the short story The Gaon’s Revenge and the upcoming short story Under the Radar which looks into the sinister history of “the man in the Panama hat” who plays a significant role in the last two books of the series. I also provide a monthly newsletter looking in more depth at some of the ‘real’ people and things that populate the books.
